When the Earth Trembles by Aeris Quinn
A spoken-word poem that reflects the pain of injustice, the silence of the world, and the rise of a voice no longer willing to bow. “When the Earth Trembles” is a protest piece born from struggle—fueled by the quiet strength of one who refuses to be ignored.

For every step I make, the world will tremble,
Tsunamis of pain, in waves that assemble.
A touch of joy at the journey’s end,
But it costs me more than I can pretend.
Like the unborn child of a warrior betrayed,
Crying for justice that’s always delayed.
A forest fire with no end in sight,
But it doesn’t burn—'cause the world won’t fight.
Unable to see, though their eyes open wide,
With blurry vision, they turn from what's right.
Deaf to Lady Justice, yet loyal to greed,
Snails on salt with golden titles they don’t need.
Until the title breaks, and the cracks appear,
The worker stands tall—no longer in fear.
Corruption and lies lose grip on their slave,
And with small steps, a voice starts to brave.
“Let the sky hear what I have to say,”
Freedom ain’t found in walking their way.
It’s not in their script, nor the roles they assign—
It’s forged in the fire that they tried to confine.
